Hi all,
I have a biopsy tomorrow on 16mm area of dots of calcifications. I'm completely scaring myself silly and want this all to be over.
I read some horrid stories about how uncomfortable the biopsy in (I found the mammogram very uncomfortable),and I've also been told its not as bad as you think.
I initially went after finding a large lump. The lump is a cyst and I have one in my other breast. The Nurse said they weren't concerned about the calcification just being thorough, and 'if she was a gambling woman she would bet its nothing', she also said worse case would be it was pre cancer and perfectly treatable. They put my mammogram results as a 3 on their 1-5 scale thingy.
So given all that, I'm now convinced the biopsy will be some sort of horrendous medieval torture and I'm now convinced I've got the start of cancer... I can't switch my brain off!
They wouldn't say stuff to make you feel better would they? They would be completely honest?
