Biopsy results late

I had 3 core biopsies two weeks ago, phoned about them on Tuesday, was told they had their weekly meetings on Wednesday so I'd get a phone call Wed afternoon.

 

Waited by the phone all day yesterday with nothing, then got a phone call today saying my results still aren't back so it'll be another week before I hear anything.

 

Anxiety was already through the roof and now another week to wait!

 

Are delayed results normal? Or a sign of good news? Or god forbid a sign of bad news??

    I can understand you asking, but I don't think you can infer much from this delay which could just be due to laboratory workload and capacity - try not to read anything into it. But I do understand that waiting is huge a challenge and it is upsetting to have been geared up for results that never materialised. 

    Do your best to manage the inevitable stress and hold your nerve.

    Thank you so much. 

    Trying my best to keep busy and get through another week, may be lots of Christmas decorations being put up! Lol.
