My mum has just been diagnosed with bowel cancer, she is a pensioner, although I do not see her this way.

I am looking into what benefits she may be entitled to.

Can anyone tell me what benefits she may be entitled to. I have looked at council tax, attendance allowance, pension credits and income support. What is the best way of finding out if she is entitled to any of these?

The benefit system is new to our family and to be frank it is a minefield.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
