Hi Everyone, just joined. I was diagnosed with cancer on the back of my tounge and lymph nodes. I have so far had 11 lots of radio and 1 chemo. 24 radio and 2 chemo to go. I am losing weight, and a bit dehydrated. Might need to up the pain relief from paracetamol to paracetamol with codein. Swallowing has been painfull, the thick mucus is terrible. I'm having a stomach feeding tube fitted on Thursday (my 65th birthday) so that might help in the long run. It is easy to roll up in a corner and cry into your now empty beer glass, but I believe there are millions of younger people going through far worst, so am thankful for small mercies. If this nightmare has taught me one thing it is to be much more tolerant and understanding to other people, (I was already a softy for animals!) Anyways, I just wanted to say hello. Cheers John.
