Beginning Treatment Plan

Hi all,

My mum is due to commence the start of her chemotherapy cycle this week to further attack the cells within her body in the hope we prevent the cancer from returning.

As you can imagine this is a very nerve wracking process and I just want to do as best as I can to supoort her! it's going to be a long journey ahead and I can't even begin to imagine how she must be feeling.

It's post surgery; so I believe it's going to be quite intense. I hope she doesn't experience too many negstive side effects. I'm just holding onto the fact this is best way forward for her health!

Is there anytning I should be doing to best supoort her through this? I don't want to intrude too much; as I appreciate she deserves her space as much as we all do, but again this must be so difficult for her and I'm sure she'll appreciate having someone to lean on?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

ps ~ how do I approach the hair loss situation when this occurs? We have been pre warned she will lose her hair due to the type of cancer she has.

Many thanks
