Hello Ineedabreak, 

I think the best thing to do in your particular situation is to go and talk to your GP. Do explain that you have had bowel cancer and that you would like to avoid anything that potentially increases the risk of cancer. Your GP will be in the best position to tell you whether HRT is a viable option for you or if there are alternatives that you could consider. I hope you are not suffering too much from these menopause symptoms at the moment.

My wife has just been told Friday she has breast cancer and that it was probably from the hrt, I'd recommend going through the sweaty times kranky times but DON'T take it please

Thank you for your reply, I seemed to hit the menopause around the time of my cancer so it's hard to tell which is connected to which.

Sorry to hear about your wife.

This is exactly why I decided before I got to the menopause that I wouldn't take anything that would be a cancer risk. Even before I had bowel cancer.

You have made my mind up for me now.

Thankyou for your kind words we are at the beginning of the process or journey but we are positive. 

But very angry that a tablet has done this to our family, I'd rather have the window open, window shut, covers on covers off and questions where I've been but stick in there it won't last
