Around 2 or 3 days when i was on it for dental pain. Though, it can be longer if you have kidney issues.

Oh gosh - ok. Was thinking it hadn't got much better  I still can't move my arm very well. I know it will work great for some people - for me it's just a bit evil! Will see what the morning brings and if this pain/ stiffness improves. 

Weirdly, my wife is now taking it during her docetaxel chemo treatment for bone pain. My mum also was on it twice in her life. Once for her neuralgia, then stopped it for years as it made her feel like a zombie. But she took it for a month last summer as she trapped a nerve in her shoulder/neck. She was fine on it for that short period.

Gabapentin will generally leave the body over the course of a couple of days, longer if someone has impaired kidney or liver function.

It has eased a bit more today - still a bit sore - but nothing like it was on Saturday and Sunday. I am not sure if GP is phoning me on Tuesday or Thursday as she wasn't sure herself! One thing is for sure I won't be taking gabapentin again! At least by next weekend I should be a bit more with it :-D
