Anxiety over radioactive bone scan results

Hello All

I'm struggling with the wait for my results of a bone scan.

I have had a mammogram and ultrasound which were both clear but then referred for this scan due to my melanoma history.

At the moment I don't know when I will get my results, as 2 weeks or possibly longer was mentioned depending on if the results get sent to my GP or to the breast clinic. Will I get a telephone call or a letter do you think?

Hi Mumofthree,
I'm sorry to hear that you are at this awful stage of waiting for results. It's good news to hear that your mammogram and ultrasound came back clear and, I hope that this does too.
It is impossible to predict how you will receive your outcome. Some hospitals use phone whilst others prefer to use post.
If yyou were referred for your bone scan via the breast clinic, I would expect your consultant to let you know, although there is usually a letter sent to your GP too.
