I've had a look through the forum and I can't see another post that you might find helpful. You could give our team of nurses a call though. I'm sure that they'd be able to offer some insights. Hi,

Why have you been taken off Tamoxifen? And is the one you are going onto for post menapaussl ladies?

ive been told that I will have to go on to Letrazole? Side effect sound awful.... Is Anastrozole for those who have gone through the menopause? 

off to see Consultant on Wednesday for follow up after my lumpectomy...... scared as to what he’s going to say....

Jenn - thanks for responding.I’m going to talk it over with my GP next week.

Jackie, yes I’m off tamoxifen due to them thinking I’m now post menopausal, however didn’t get a blood test to prove that I am.

oncologist says Anastrozole has less side effects than letrazole - I’m not sure what the difference is between the two.

your oncologist will go through your diagnosis and what medication they will prescribe and for how long, it’s also to make sure your wound has healed enough for radiotherapy to begin and give you a timetable for that. I’ve met a couple of oncologists and mine have been lovely. I’m sure you have nothing to worry about - there should be nothing said that you don’t already know about.
