Anal/bowel cancer

Hi I'm 54 in reasonable good health so I thought apart from being a bit over weight . Went to A&E last October with chest pains . They couldn't find anything . Fast forward to end of Feb 2023 . Apparently my GP had been trying to get in touch with me . The scan I had in A&E October 22 showed a growth in my bowel and on one ovary . Urgent colonoscopy and referral to gynaecologist. No one is telling me anything. But then read my discharge letter after colonoscopy and it said day case cancer .
I've tried calling hospital my GP and consultant and they said they can't say but to wait for results. Surely someone can tell me what I'm being tested for . I'm terrified I'm in so much pain down there and in my pelvic area . Have been treated for bladder prolapse for last 2 years but now they saying it's not that . Why can't I get a straight answer from anyone? I'm so scared confused and frustrated.
