After cancer

My days after cancer were long and difficult its been 2 years nearly since i was given the all clear. But  there is always a nagging doubt in my mind i suppose that will never go away. Although i am feeling well its still that  BUT at the back of the brain. I diont suppose that will ever go away

  • Hello missy1,

The feelings you describe are very common even years after cancer treatment. The nagging doubt at the back of your mind is something many here can relate to.

I hope you will get to share these feelings with others here who can truly understand and that they will tell you how things developed for them and whether for them with time this feeling has gradually faded.

Best wishes and a big welcome to Cancer Chat,

  • Hi there. You re not on your own. Cancer and it s treatments are a rollercoaster ride that affects us mentally too. It s nearly 3 years for me and it s still on my mind as much as ever. Hopefully it will start to not to take over our thoughts as time goes by. Best wishes, Sue :)

  • Its been a little over 2½ years since I got my cancer diagnosis and now treatment is over, not a day goes by when I worry about aches n pains and bumps n bruises, I try to keep positive and busy each and every day and take on new challenges that I didnt do Before Cancer and in ways am grateful that cancer has given me a new lease of life and made me appreciate life. But I do know what you are going through and I hope like you, the feelings of a re occurrence will diminish. Take Care xx
