Advice very much needed please

Hello, my 70yr old mum has terminal lung cancer and her Macmillan nurse says she has weeks to months to live. We are utterly devastated and finding it very hard to care for her. We have two young children and go across as much as we can but I think she is starting to need full time care. She really struggles to move out of her chair, can't get in the shower and hardly eats or drinks. She has carers who come at 9am and 4pm to make her breakfast and tea. This morning she called me shouting "I'm stuck, I'm stuck" because she couldn't get out of bed so we dashed over to help her. I called her Macmillan nurse to ask what help mum can get - I mentioned hospice care but she told me this wasn't appropriate at this moment and I need to contact social services which I did and was then told to call the GP which I did only to be told the only thing they can do was to call an ambulance. I'm going round the houses and getting nowhere. Does anybody know who I need to contact to get some help for mum or what is available? We know she is only going to get worse and just have no idea what to do. Thank you
