Advice please

Hi,

I was first diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in July 2000. I had surgery, more surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, then 5 years of Tamoxifen and 2 years of Letrazole.

I was diagnosed with high grade DCIS in October and had double mastectomy in December. Last week I went for the results of the tissue that they took away was told that the right side was as they said but the left side, which showed on the mammograms and scans, wasn't 2 small areas but was 1 large area 66mm and a small amount was aggressive but he couldn't say anymore as hes still waiting for more results due to it.

My head is all over the place again and my question is what will happen next?

Any advice welcome and thank you

  • Hello there and thanks for posting

I am sorry to hear about your recent surgery and appreciate how the news of the results is unsettling you at the moment.

Unfortunately no one here on the forum can say what the next steps may be for you as everyone is different. At the moment even your own specialist is waiting for all the tests to come through before they know the bigger picture that they can then talk through what needs to happen for you.

Sit tight if you can for now and keep yourself and your mind busy whilst waiting.

Hopefully you will know more soon but do get back if you need or want to and you are also welcome to call us on 0808 800 4040 weekdays 9-5 if you prefer.

    All the best to you

    Take care

    Naomi
