About 18 months ago I damaged the bottom of my foot. I tried everything but it wouldn't heal. I visited my gp surgery, a podiatrist but nothing helped. Last year I asked to be referred to a dermatologist but when I contacted the hospital they told me that due to Covid-19 there would be a very long wait.
I developed a bacterial infection and yet again I went back to the doctors and was prescribed antibiotics. I was lucky enough to have a small payout from my pension which I decided to use to see a private dermatologist.
Due to an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I rang the gp surgery again and explained that I intended to go privately and I was incredibly anxious and depressed. I received a phone call yesterday asking me to go to the hospital to see the dermatologist.
When I saw her she said it looked like cancer and would speak to the foot surgeon and fast track me ASAP. I was so shocked I couldn't speak. I had breast cancer in 2016 and I am devastated that this has happened especially as it's been here for so long and I have constantly been told it was granulated tissue which they now think is SCC.
I have also been having pain in my knee and hip which I was told was a side effect of Letrozole.
Thank you for letting me vent. I would just like to know if anyone has any advice I could use.
