Hi all

i posted the other day about my mum who's just been diagnosed with lung cancer stage 4 they are currently looking at a treatment plan to include chemo possibly radiotherapy and immunotherapy but they cannot cure it's already spread into her lymph nodes in her chest 

she has a pain in her upper back which is her main symptom and only real symptom, but not really getting relief from the current medication plan

they have told her to take parecetomol regularly and oramorph for break through pain but this is making her feel extremely drowsy and whilst she is still very active I want her to live life as full as she can not be asleep all day

are there any alternatives to oramorph? She has to take liquid as struggles with tablets she always has done nothing to do with the cancer 

I don't feel the parecetomol is really working now as well as it was. she cried out in pain today getting into my car after she had been for an mri which to me is not acceptable to have this pain
