Acute Myeloid Leukaemia with genetic mutation MDS

hello 

I am V and I had AML in 2016 received bone marrow transplant, and all went good didn’t get graft v host unfortunately my leukemia came back 4 weeks ago just went for a blood test and my bloods were low . I have done 6 days of intense chemo and now I am waiting for my counts to recover . Planning to get more chemo and another transplant but unmatched this time and possibly if u get graft v host will be a little positive I have a genetic disorder that’s bringing leukemia back it’s my 3 rd chromosome anyone on this has experience relapse etc can they give me some advise I am extremely scared this time and I am 32 years old .

    I know you're hoping to hear from others so I just wanted to put you in touch with one of our newer members [@Lindyjane]‍. Although she has just been diagnosed with AML I thought you both may benefit from chatting with one other about what you're going through so fingers crossed she'll be along soon now I've mentioned her in this post.

    Hi Upsy86,

     

    I was just wondering how you are now? My brother is currently waiting on results of secondary AML and he is very scared as they have said that he will need aggressive chemo and then maybe a stem cell try but they also said it may not work. We are hoping and praying it will all go well.
