    Hi Kayzee,

A warm welcome to our forum.

Good for you in getting back to work so quickly. I haven't had chemo, but Tamoxifen and Letrozole and, I suffered a lot of joint pain with both. I have now finished both of these and sadly, am still left with the unenviable legacy of pain in all my joints, but especially my back and arms.

Fatigue is also something which crops up with a cancer diagnosis. I was first diagnosed 7 years ago and, still find that I get totally exhausted. It's not as bad as it was in the early stages, but I can still fall asleep anywhere.

I can undersand that you want to leave your school in a good position and it's not that long until Christmas, but this is a busy time of year. My advice would be to play it by ear. There is no point in exhausting yourself more than you have to. If you feel fatigued, is there anywhere in school where you could have a short nap, even during your lunch hour?

I hope that you can keep going until your retiral date. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you whenever you feel like talking.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, Kayzee.

I just wanted to stop by to pass on some information we have on the site about Treating cancer fatigue, which I hope might be of help.

As Jolamine rightly says, please do play it by ear and listen to your body. Take care and feel free to keep posting; we're here to listen.

    With best wishes,
