9 months and 2 days after my son Jonathan lost his battle with cancer, his wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Saturday 21 Oct. We are so delighted that the spirit of my son will live on in his child but saddened that he is not her for this most precious event. It was due to the foresight of the oncology team and fertility clinic at Aberdeen hospital that made this event happen. My son and his wife had discussed the IVF and he was happy for her to try even though they both knew that he would never see this baby. Even though I am encompassed by my grief a little ray of light is breaking through. leslie
