2cm breast lump

Hello all, I have read through the previous post with the similar title. Reasurring to know that I am not alone in feeling nervous, anxious and really scared.

Tried to stay positive at the doctors this morning, couldn't believe how fast I had an appointment. Called at 4.00pm yesterday and had an appointment at 8.30am today!

Urgent referral for the breast clinic and, I am sure it was just me, a complete change in the doctors attitude and voice once she had felt the lump!

  • Hi Jen

Welcome to the forum and sorry you find yourself here. Its good that you were seen quickly and have a two week referral. Of course not all lumps are cancerious but its the not knowing that can install anxiety/fear etc. Glad you have been referred so that specialists can examine the lump, fingers crossed it turn out to be benign.x

  • [@Magpiemaggie]‍ Thank you for your message.

It really is the not knowing. You know that you are a positive, strong person normally but this puts thoughts and worries into your head that you never knew was possible. It is unbelievable how much something like this can dominate your every thought!

I am trying to remain optimistic and check myself when going to the 'what ifs' but whoa!!!!

You also know that you are not the only person going through this type of thing but seeing the posts and how many is staggering.

    Thank you again :)
