Hope your husband is okay. I dont know if its because its been 3 months or the development of other lumps? I an glad of it, its been a long time of worrying and my first dr wasnt too great tbh, very dismissive and reluctant to do anything at all. Second dr has been amazing. 

How big are the lumps, Moog?

As for your original questions, I have no idea what to expect. What department are you even being referred to? 

The one on my neck is about 1.5cm, left armpit is about a 1cm but feels slightly bigger today and not sure about the right one.

Haemotology I think, I was a bit out of it yesterday and didnt take much in tbh. 

I know what that's like. 

You have all these questions and they make you feel like you are wasting their time.

I hope someone chimes in with haematology experience to put your mind at ease.

I agree. I was of that philosophy too until this summer where I started getting symptoms. 

I've found the healthcare professionals to either be dismissive or try and put it down to either some mysterious long-acting virus or anxiety/stress.

Yes! I also find that a lot. They've used my kids as an excuse in the past, oh well you have kids you're going to be tired, then I found out I had underactive thyroid.

Finding the right dr definitely helps, as I said this second dr has been fab. First time i saw him he checked all lymph nodes, weighed me, checked my chest and ordered bloods done. He over runs a lot of the time but its because he seems to actually care about getting things done. 

Well, I don't know about you, but caring about your health is my prime - if not only - function in a doctor.

I think a lot of them like to be the bearer of good news (i.e. you are fine). Most people are happy to have that news, but for those of us that have the unshaking feeling that something is amiss, it's tantamount or questioning their medical authority. And nobody likes that. 

Hi there, unfortunately I was one of the people to discover  the lump was lymphoma so I will tell you about my experience just to let you know what happens, but do try not to worry as you’ve mentioned for most people it’s nothing.

Basically I went to haematology and had a biopsy which was slightly uncomfortable but not too bad. They also did an ultrasound of the area. They told me there and then that they found the lump very concerning and would make another appointment a week later for the results. I’m not sure if this was helpful or not but hopefully it was.
