I'm sorry that you're going through this. For me and everyone else I think the waiting is the worst.

Unfortunately waiting times differ in different regions. Plus we have covid which has delayed many appointments. When I was at the point that you're at now my gp told me to phone the practice secretary if I hadn't heard anything back from the clinic within 3 weeks.

I also know that some people have phoned the clinic directly.

My wait was 5 weeks but the clinic made the appointment with me after just a week.

Your next step will be seeing a breast specialist who'll ask lots of questions and do a physical examination. From then on it's different for everyone. Personally I had a mammogram and biopsy that day but hopefully you'll be fine.

I'm sorry that I'm unable to give you a definitive answer. Whilst you are waiting try and distract yourself as much as possible. I know that you'll be overthinking every scenario possible but that and looking it up on the internet really won't help you.
