Survival - A to Z
This page links to content about cancer survival.
Cancer Research UK has been at the heart of many of the major breakthroughs in cancer over the past 100 years. Our work on the causes, prevention, detection and treatment of cancer has saved millions of lives across the world.
Thanks to advances in cancer research and improvements in cancer care, survival rates have improved for nearly all of the most common cancers, and the overall death rate for cancer has fallen by 9% in the past ten years.
But we can't be complacent - there is still much to do if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.
