Share your knowledge as a volunteer coach!

At Cancer Research UK, we believe it’s important to support our staff with their career progression, and to develop in their roles.  We’re looking for coaches to volunteer their skills and help staff at manager level upwards in developing their leadership capabilities. As a volunteer development coach, you’d be using your experience and coaching skills to help staff overcome challenges and reach their development goals. Our volunteer coaches will help staff as they navigate their first people manager leader role, support their skills development in their existing management role or transition from one level of management to the next. We’ll measure success in a number of ways, including through peer feedback and survey scores. 

We couldn’t do any of what we do without our volunteers. By joining us as a volunteer development coach, you’d have lasting impact on our staff and in turn Cancer Research UK, and ultimately help us bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.  

 A volunteer coach really helped me to navigate some of the challenges I was finding with my role. I had really clear objectives of what I wanted to achieve through the sessions which meant I was able to really clearly evaluate the impact of the coaching, and the coach was able to see real value in the time she had volunteered to help me.
