Patient Representative - Outcomes in Lung Cancer within London
UCLH Cancer Collaborative and Cancer Research UK are looking for two people affected by cancer to join a project group as patient or carer representatives.
Closing date: Friday 17 August
Location: From home and Central London
Payment and Expenses: Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with the expenses policy.
Time commitment: This project will run until September 2019. The anticipated commitment is as follows:
Monthly project meetings over teleconference, lasting one hour. Every quarter there will also be a two hour, one face-to-face project meeting in central London (near Euston or Whitechapel).
You'll be asked to read some documents and to make a note of any questions you have. before each meeting. A member of the project team will be available to answer your questions by phone or email ahead of the meeting, and in person at the meeting. You’ll also be invited to take part in an interactive workshop (1 day in total).
About the role:
UCLH Cancer Collaborative is embarking on a project with Cancer Research UK’s Early Diagnosis Advisory Group to better understand why outcomes are so poor for Lung Cancer within London.
We’re looking for two people with an interest in health data and early diagnosis, and a willingness to learn, to get involved and share their experience with us. You'll attend project group meetings to advise the team on how proposals may affect people affected by lung cancer and their families.
Please note: We would welcome expressions of interest from people affected by any type of cancer – what’s most important is your interest in using health data to improve outcomes for patients.
