Focus group - Help us remove junk food adverts from children’s TV
We know that 4 in 10 cancers could be prevented and that maintaining a healthy weight can help to reduce your risk of cancer. 1 in 3 children leaving primary school in the UK are overweight or obese. We think it is time to make TV Junk Free.

Payments and expenses: In return for your time we will offer £50, as outlined in our reward and recognition policy.
We need as many people as possible to get behind our campaigns and take action by emailing their MP. However, sometimes it can be hard to explain why we’re campaigning on an issue and compel people to act while keeping our message short.
Our current campaign, Junk Free TV, focuses on raising awareness of the link between childhood obesity and increased cancer risk. The aim of the campaign is to reduce children’s exposure to junk food advertising by restricting junk food TV adverts before 9pm.
To make the campaign stand out, we’re developing a set of new promotional materials.
How you can get involved
Come along to our small, friendly and informal focus group to shape how we promote this important campaign. At the focus group, we’d like you to share your thoughts on how we can make the message clear and how best we can encourage people to take action and tell their MP.
