Committee Member: Patient Advisory Group for North East London

UCLH Cancer Collaborative are recruiting members to a new Patient Advisory Group, who’ll work with them to develop and launch a pioneering new cancer diagnosis Hub in north east London.

Closing date: Monday 27 August 

Location: Meetings will be held in an accessible venue within North East London (exact location tbc).

Payment and Expenses: Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with the Expenses Policy. 

Time commitment: Meetings will take place monthly for approx. 90 minutes.  There may be occasional project work and involvement via email in between meetings.

UCLH Cancer Collaborative are recruiting Patient Advisors to work with them on setting up a world-leading new Cancer Diagnosis Hub, designed to:

  • Provide easier and faster diagnosis of cancer
  • Improve monitoring of people with health conditions that put them at higher risk of developing cancer
  • Maintain a person-centred approach to diagnosis
  • Become a training centre of excellence for NHS staff
  • Explore cutting edge research, technologies and techniques

Members of the Patient Advisory Group will work alongside a project Steering Group to ensure that the views of patients and local community groups inform all major project decisions and proposals.
