About the programme
The Test, Evidence, Transition programme supports UK health system change, in accelerating the effective adoption of innovations, reducing the inequalities in access to cancer interventions.
What it Test Evidence Transition?
Test, Evidence, Transition (TET) is a multi-phase programme of commissioned research activity, building on the success of the former Accelerate, Coordinate, Evaluate (ACE) Programme, and developed to meet an identified need for published evidence on the impact of service innovations in real world contexts.
Programme objectives
TET also supports Cancer Research UK’s strategic Translate objective, in working with health systems to ensure that best practice is rolled out consistently, effectively, and equitably across health systems to benefit everyone. Read more about our strategy here.
TET provides facilitated support to Cancer Research UK-funded local health system delivery teams and academic partners, collaborating to achieve three core objectives:
- Test service innovations at a local health system level, that support the delivery of optimal pathways, improving cancer outcomes.
- Evidence the process, impact of implementation and outcomes, focusing on identified metrics that will accelerate further spread and adoption.
- Transition identified best practice into more equitable adoption across UK health systems to benefit everyone.
Transition
A core objective of the programme is to create the conditions required for effective innovations to be adopted into mainstream practice. To achieve this, TET focuses on three enabling activities:
