Welcome to the Excellence in Research online information hub.
The online information hub is a one-stop-shop providing and signposting to information, resources and materials to help clinical research nurses find relevant, useful opportunities to support them in their role.
At Cancer Research UK we recognize the valuable role clinical research nurses play in the delivery of vital cancer research. Supporting patients through complex clinical trials and working to improve outcomes. All with the aim of seeing more patients survive cancer.
The Excellence in Research programme aims to provide, improve access and signpost to opportunities for cancer-specific education, professional development, and networking so that clinical research nurses can continue to develop their knowledge and skills, whilst connecting with other research nurses working in cancer and sharing experience and best practice.
We launched the programme in February 2018 at the Francis Crick Institute. The launch event was attended by over 80 cancer research nurses who enjoyed a day of inspirational talks, interactive workshops and meeting like-minded colleagues from across the UK.
