Time commitment: Ongoing

The role

In July 2023, we opened our first Regional Distribution Centre in Warrington – this is a place where donated items from the public (like clothes and homeware) are taken and processed centrally in bulk ready for them to be sent out to our high street shops to sell.

We’re looking for keen volunteers to support this exciting opportunity – a chance to be involved in something new and different, help to drive sales to support our research and gain valuable skills along the way.

What you will be doing

While this list is not exhaustive, it gives you a flavour of some of the typical tasks that you will be helping with at the new Regional Distribution Centre:

  • Sorting through donated items, identifying which ones are suitable for sale in our shops

  • Getting the items ready for selling – hanging, steaming, pricing, and tagging

  • Learning about our pricing structure and how to get the most from the donated items

  • Assisting our drivers in the collection, delivery and distribution of stock

  • Keeping things tidy, clean and well organised

Your commitment and location

There is no minimum time commitment for this role, we'll be happy to have you for as long as you're able to support us!

This role is based in our Cancer Research UK Regional Distribution Centre located at Unit 2B, Talyor Business Park, Risley, WA3 6BL.
