Volunteer to collect money near you

Volunteer at a cash collection for World Cancer Day

Make a difference and help us beat cancer sooner by signing-up to collect at over 90 different locations across the UK.

The money you raise will go directly to funding life-saving research, bringing forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Your collections questions answered

You can volunteer for as little as an hour. Each collection has different collecting time slots available and after signing up, the coordinator will be in touch to arrange a time with you.

Timeslots are generally 2 hours long. You can arrange with the coordinator to volunteer for a shorter or longer time.

Most collections in town centres are between 8am and 6pm and at train stations between 7am and 7pm.

Your collection coordinator will meet you and tell you everything you need to know including where to stand and what to expect. You’ll get a t-shirt to wear, bucket to hold and items to hand out in return for a donation.

Return all the money you collected and the materials you were given to the coordinator after your shift. They'll tell you how much was raised in total after the collection has taken place.

Only people aged 16 and older on the day of the collection can collect. If you are 16 or 17, you'll need to have permission from your parent or guardian to sign up.

Cancer Research UK isthe world’s leading charity dedicated to saving lives through research.
