Why we need you:
Cancer Research UK is making huge advances in cancer cures but without direct government funding, our life saving research relies on the generousity and donations of our suporters. In bringing people together to appreciate the beauty of our collective spring gardens in bloom, we hope to raise awareness and vital funds for Cancer Research UK in this new, exciting project for 2020.
If you are an enthusiastic, dedicated supporter and want to help us beat cancer sooner, we would love to hear from you in regards to this exciting new volunteer role.
What will I be doing?
You will be promoting the event and appealing for garden hosts
Upon signing hosts up, you will be required to issue them with information and guidance around their open garden and confirm the date and location of their event with them in order to maintain a garden trail list which you will then promote using local media as well as social media.
You will have the full support and guidance of a dedicated Cancer Research UK fundraising manager to help you each step of the way and provide advice and materials when needed.
What skills do I need?
Social media and IT skills are required along with the ability to co-ordinate volunteers and provide effective, timely communications.
What support will we give you?
We will offer full support including materials, help with promotion, communication templates, set up support and regular catch up calls to ensure you are fully supported in your role.

Where will I be based?
This is a flexible home based role that will require approx 1 day a week of your time. If required to travel, this will be on your terms and expenses reimbursed where needed.
