Join us for WOOF WALKIES sponsored dog walk in Sandwich!

Woof Walkies in Sandwich, is a sponsored family dog walk to raise money for Cancer Research UK, brought to you by Connecting for a Cure; the local committee in East Kent.  Whether you walk fast or take a leisurely stroll, it’s all about having fun and raising vital funds for Cancer Research UK.  Don’t worry if you haven’t got a dog, come along with your family and join in the fun!

Entry fee £5

Event Details:

•  Date: Sunday, 22nd September
•  Time: Starting from 10am
•  Location: Sandwich Quay
•  Distance: 2 mile walk

Yoga at 9am: We're kicking off the day at 9am with a pawsome yoga class led by Clare from The Yoga Shed – perfect for getting you and your pup zen before the big walk! Bring your friends along; the more, the merrier! £5 donation for CRUK.

Registration from 10am: Look for the tent near the Quay Car Park from 9am. Swing by to grab your number and drop off any funds you’ve raised. Our team will be easy to spot in bright pink CRUK t-shirts, so you can’t miss us!

The Walk: A fun 2-mile loop along the river, through the fields, and back – starting under our giant Start Arch.

Say Cheese: We’ll have a photographer snapping photos all day, so get ready to strike a pose!

Dogs of Sandwich Calendar: If you and your pup are local legends, head over to the CRUK Dogs of Sandwich calendar stand to enter your furry friend for a chance to star in the 2026 Calendar! (Psst... the 2025 Calendar launches at the event, and you can grab your copy for just £10 – all proceeds go straight to Cancer Research!)

Fun for All: Enjoy face painting, glitter tattoos, and more! Plus, treat yourself to some delicious goodies – soft drinks, Pimms, wine, cider, and doggy ice cream, of course! And don't forget the cakes and snacks!

We can't wait to see you there! It’s going to be a tail-wagging good time, all for a fantastic cause.
