Keepy-Uppy Challenge - FAQs
Challenge yourself to do keepy-uppies every day in November. Do what's a challenge for you, whether that's 25, 50 or 100 keepy-uppies a day. Why not increase your daily total as you improve?
Once you've signed up, join the Facebook Group dedicated to this challenge here. Click 'Join Group'.
Once you're in, get keepy-uppy top tips, be inspired by other fundraisers, and find support and motivation from your fellow teammates.
Although we encourage you to join our Facebook Group, we do understand that not everyone is on this social network. If you would still like to take part and raise money, you can set up a Cancer Research UK Giving Page below:
There is not a minimum amount of fundraising that we set for participants, but we recommend you set a reasonable target of raising about £150. We understand fundraising is difficult at the moment and this target can be met by asking 15 people to donate £10. Please remember that every pound raised helps us tackle bowel cancer.
You can choose to take part solo or in a team, you might want to bundle up your tally toward one super challenge, or maybe you want to compete against one another to see who can do the most keepy-uppies or who can raise the most money!
Find out how to sign up as a team here.
If wet, rainy or frosty outside, we advise against completing this challenge outside as it could potentially cause injury. You can complete your keepy-uppies inside, should you have the right amount of space; this could be at a local gym, sports centre/leisure centre, indoor football court, or even in a garage!
For safety and optimum comfort, find a surface that’s level and firm. You don’t want an uneven surface as you may injure yourself. Be sure to check your surroundings before you start, you will want to ensure you have enough space around you where you won’t hit into anyone or anything!
We trust you! You don’t need to provide evidence that you’ve completed the challenge to us, however, we recommend updating your family and friends on your challenge to encourage sponsorship.
Make sure you keep them posted on your progress and share videos and photos throughout November– the more updates the better.
Whilst we will be encouraging most people to take part in November, this is a personal challenge so you can start and finish at a time that is more suitable and convenient for you.
Don't worry if you miss a day, you could always carry on into December or double your number of keepy-uppies on another day. Take on the challenge in a way that suits you.
You don't need to prove evidence that you've completed your challenge but we recommend sharing your progress with your friends and family to encourage donations!
We'll provide a digital certificate and badge at the end of the challenge. Unfortunately, we cannot provide medals to finishers.
Yes, under 18s can take part although the Facebook group is only available to over 18s. If taking part, they must have consent from a parent or guardian and the parent or guardian must register on their behalf.
