About this event:
The Crick Abseil is back for 2024! Bigger & better than ever before and aiming to raise more than £50,000 to support the vital lifesaving work of Cancer Research UK.
This is a unique opportunity to abseil more than 125 feet from the top of the Francis Crick Institute building (next to Kings Cross Station, London)! After a 4 year break due to the pandemic (during which the Francis Crick Institute took a leading role), we are pleased to be running this amazing event again. Spaces are limited to 150 abseilers and register today for this amazing experience offering incredible views of London and an opportunity to see inside the Institute on your way to the top!
On the day:
The event is organised by the City of London Friends of Cancer Research committee. They raise funds for the vital life-saving work that is done by Cancer Research UK. On the day of the event, you will be welcomed by an enthusiastic team of volunteers before being handed over to our professional abseil instructors for kitting up, briefing and tuition. You will then be taken to the top of the building before coming back down the easy way by rope! At the bottom you will be cheered by supporters and volunteers. Photographs will be taken on the day for you to remember everything and you will rewarded with a medal/certificate reception.
Get involved:
Registration is £20 with minimum sponsorship of £100 requested given the limited availability. Abseilers must be 18 years and over.
