About this event:

The City of London Friends Group are holding an abseil in aid of Cancer Research UK off the Arcellorittal Orbit - the big red structure in the London Olympic Park. At over 260ft the abseil is a real challenge but you will have a great story to tell your friends and family and be able to take in the magnificent views of the Olympic Park, Canary Wharf and Central London!

On the day:

The event is organised by the City of London Friends of Cancer Research committee. They raise funds for the vital life-saving work that is done by Cancer Research UK. On the day of the event, you will be welcomed by an enthusiastic team of volunteers before being handed over to our professional abseil instructors for kitting up, briefing and tuition. You will then take the lift to the observation deck (taking 32 seconds to reach the top) before coming back down the easy way by rope! At the bottom you will be cheered by supporters and volunteers and can then see your photos of your exploits!

Get involved:

Registration is £20 with minimum sponsorship of £200 requested given the limited availability. Abseilers must be 18 years and over.
