Changes to your Give in Celebration page

We’ve moved your Give in Celebration page to our new website. You can read more information about the changes below.

We’re always striving to improve our online services and our new website is a huge improvement on our previous site.
You’ll find that managing your celebration page is a lot simpler to do, particularly from a mobile phone or a tablet. And your family and friends will be able to make donations and leave messages more easily.

As we have increased our website security, you will be asked to reset your password when you first log in.
Please let us know as soon as you can if you notice that any donations, messages, photos or details of your celebration page are missing on 0300 123 1863 or by emailing celebrations@cancer.org.uk.
Your Give in Celebration page
Donations
You will still be able to see all donations to your Give in Celebration page and any messages that family and friends have left, as well as, the total amount of money that you’ve raised.
If you have hidden donor names, donation amounts, messages or the total that your Give in Celebration page has raised, this information will now be visible to anyone who visits your page. If any of your family or friends have made a donation anonymously, their donation will remain anonymous.
Donations made over the phone or by cheque
If you’ve received donations to your Give in Celebration page made over the phone or by cheque, then these donations will still be displayed on your page but due to a system limitation these donations will show at the top of your celebration page. All other details will be unchanged. If you receive any further donations to your Give in Celebration page, these will appear at the top of the page as normal.
Gift Aid
If you have received donations to your celebration page before April 2011, then you may notice that the total amount of Gift Aid is lower than on your previous celebration page. We are aware of this issue and will be fixing it very soon. Once fixed, the Gift Aid total will be return to the value that it was previously. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Photos & video
You will be able to see any photos that you’ve added in the photo gallery, but for a short while, you will be unable to add or remove any pictures. We’re no longer able to support video.
You can now add a cover photo to your Give in Celebration page. This photo is landscape in shape, larger than the previous main image and fits the width of your page. We did not want to stretch your picture to fit this new larger space, so we’ve moved any photos that you’ve added to the photo gallery. You can change the cover photo to another picture at any time.
Celebration date and type
The date of your celebration and the type of celebration will no longer be displayed, but you can add this to your page message if you wish.
Searching for a Give in Celebration page
For a short while, you’ll be unable to search for a Give in Celebration page on our website. We’ll be adding this functionality soon. We recommend sharing the link to your celebration page with family and friends by email or using our share tools on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and WhatsApp, so that they can find your page quickly and easily.
Sharing your Give in Celebration page
If you would like to share your celebration page by email, then we would recommend copy and pasting the link to your page into an email using your own email account. We will no longer have the email tool or address book. You can also share your Give in Celebration page easily using our share tools on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and WhatsApp.
Email updates on donations
The email update is now sent every time a donation is made. If you would prefer to turn off these emails, you can do so by logging into your fundraising page. Then click on the drop down in the top right hand corner of the page and select ‘Account settings’. Then select 'Notification email preferences' and 'No, I don't want notification emails'.
If you’ve opted not to receive these emails, then there will be no change.

Please ask family and friends to let us know your name, as well as the name and URL of your Give in Celebration page, so that the donation can be added. They can also include a message if they wish.
If family and friends would like to make a donation over the phone, please ask them to call 0300 123 1863.
