Tests to diagnose

You might have one or more of these tests to check whether your symptoms are due to nasopharyngeal cancer. 


A nasendoscopy is a test to look at the inside of the nose, the throat (pharynx) and the voicebox (larynx). FInd out how you have it.


A panendoscopy is a test to have a closer look at your upper airway and to take samples of any abnormal areas (biopsies). You have it under general anaesthetic.

Testing your lymph nodes

If you have a swollen lymph node in your neck you might have a test called a fine needle aspiration or needle biopsy. Find out more.
