Worried, lump in groin, enlarged lymph nodes, raised crp

Hi can anyone help, I'm worried.  I have a lump in groin, pelvic area next to groin crease, I've had this for about 2 years specialists say its inguinal hernia, it's a femoral hernia, not sure, also at times have said it's  surrounded in fluid.  If you press it it feels like it presses on bladder and I also get a weird feeling, it's  pressing on nerve and effects leg yet it's not where a femoral hernia would be. In November last year I started getting pains in my arm (opposite side to lump in groin)  constant pins and needles all over arm and hand, tingling, seems worse if I press on armpit.  About 2 months ago my lower back started swelling in the middle and causing lots of pain.  A week and a half, 2 weeks ago my lumph nodes swole up in neck all over and a small lump appeared at side of neck, I've also developed a dry cough that leaves me breathless and I have an ached under shoulder blade.  My drs know all this.   I have severe crohns and an ileostomy and they blame everything on that and my neck they've said is a virus. Bloods were taken a week ago my crp is 21 (it's never really high even though my crohns is terrible) my lymphocytes are 1.06. Ih and I'm exhausted. I just feel that everything gets dismissed by my gp.   Does anyone have any thoughts on all these symptoms.  Thanks

  • Hi Moiza,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to read about what you've been going through recently and your worries - it's always unsettling when you notice changes in the body.

Ultimately you know what you're used to experiencing or noticing in terms of any symptoms - and what seems different to 'normal'. So note anything down that you're concerned about, as well as any changes or developments day-to-day. This will help you keep track of things, but also will be useful information to talk through with your doctor if you visit them again. You could always request to see a different doctor if you're not feeling happy with what you've been told so far.

If you would like to discuss anything with our nurses, you can reach them on 0808 800 4040 - Monday-Friday, 9-5.

    Wishing you all the best,
