Waiting for pelvic scan results

Had a pelvic scan today, they didn’t give anything away but said results would be back with GP on Monday. That seems very quick? Or is that standard? I’m already booked in for gynae consult in three weeks - I have mid cycle bleeding, bleeding after sex, pain on left side running into leg, suddenly very very heavy periods and recurrent UTIs. So assume that they’ll also do colposcopy (have had LLETZ previously due to dodgy cells).

Trying not to let my imagination run away with me but am currently in loads of pain so want to get an answer soon.

    Hi - sorry to hear of your troubles - waiting for results is just awful. I am surprised the results will be back to your GP so soon. I also live in Shropshire (or are you someone who is from Shropshire but has now left the county?). I had a CT with contrast yesterday as a "spot" was found on my lung at my RT planning CT. I was assured by the radiographer yesterday that the results would be back with my oncologist urgently - which meant within 2 WEEKS!

    Try not to only think the worst until you have your results - there are many things that it could be and at least your GP is taking good care of you.

    Thanks for the reply - i’m In Shrewsbury too, hence being so surprised/worried about quick results!

    I think i’m also worrying as she definitely spent more time looking at the side where I have the pain rather than equal between both. And she asked about mid cycle bleeding quite randomly halfway through.

    Can’t believe that you have to wait another two weeks! Hope that you get results more quickly than two weeks.
