Swollen Right Lymph Node + Breast Referral + AZ Vaccine

Hello everyone,

I am a 30 year old woman. Following my second AZ vaccine I noticed my left*(not right) supraclavicular lymph node was swollen. Fast forward two weeks, I notice a very slight dimpling near my nipple on my left breast. I am unsure if any of these things are linked. I made an appointment with the GP who confirmed she could feel a 2cm lymph node. I had a breast examine and she found no lump. GP also did not seem to 'see' the dimpling I could see.

I have no other symptoms, I feel completely fine. I have been referred to the breast clinic. I am absolutely terrified now. I have been Googling (I know I shouldn't have) and now I am just so scared.

Has anyone had anything similar to this before? Please help. Thank you.

I hope it helps to know that many of our members have contended with similar symptoms so you're not alone and hopefully you'll receive some support and advice from them soon.

I'm not sure if you've had a breast clinic referral before but if not you can find out what may happen at your appointment just here.

Our team of cancer nurses are also just a phone call away if you'd like to talk things through with them whilst you wait. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Fingers crossed everything will be o.k LB2021.

  • Hi there,

I might not be able to offer much advice here but I also have a very enlarged supraclavicular node which appeared one week after my Pfizer vaccine. I had a breast check also by the gp and don't have any other symptoms.

All I can say is that I've read numerous accounts about people with the same experience after the vaccine. There is a very long thread within this forum with many people detailing the same thing. And I've read a number of articles stating that more and more women are being referred to breast clinics due to enlarged nodes following the vaccine.

I think the odds are in our favour and we just need to stay as calm as possible while knowing we're doing the best we can by getting things checked out.

I hope you get your mind put at ease soon!
