Small hard lump on the top of my right testicle

So I seen a testicular cancer ad the other day and I decided to check my self just out of curiosity and on the top of my right testicle I have a small hard lump it’s smaller than a pea but it’s still there it has no pain and I’m not sure what it could be? I’m 15 so I don’t know if it’s something to do with puberty or something like that?

i’ve noticed i have had it for a while so it’s nothinh recent but I’m just not sure what it is? I’m tried to do research on it but I couldn’t find anything?

Any suggestions? Or know what it could be?

  • Hi. The first thing to do is make an appointment to see your GP. You can ask for a male one if you prefer. You should do this as soon as you can so that you are not stressing. I am the Mum of two sons, now 24 and 30.Both of them have found lumps in their testicles in the past. They both had them in their teens. One time it was due to an ingrowing hair and twice they have been harmless cysts. Get yourself checked though as you do need to know. I work for Urgent Care an out of hours Dr service and l can tell you lumps in testicles are common and you can quickly get the advice you need. You have done the right thing already by being alert to a change in your body. So now get a clinician to check you out.

  • Hi Harrison123. Welcome to the forum.

I am not a doctor.  However, I am a bloke and I a little bit of knowledge.

Most lumps on the testicles are harmless. There is also a structure at the top of each testicle called the "epididymis" which might be felt as a small lump. It's possible that this is what you've found.  However, Sweetpea1980 has given you some very wise advice: see you GP to discuss the lump.  It's probably nothing, but better to be safe than sorry, and your GP might be able to give you some more helpful information about how to check your testicles and what to look out for.

  • Hi.

I have found a small lump on my right testicle and I went to my gp she had a look at it and sent me for a scan. They said they couldn't see anything but the lump is still there. Sometimes it feels like it's a little bigger or smaller. I still dont feel comfortable after being told that they cant see anything because it's there and I dont know what it is. I am planning to go for a private scan this time. Dont be scared to go it's a little uncomfortable but only last a few minutes and you will feel better when it's done.

    Hi

Can you give a follow up to what happened, because I'm having the exact same issue, I did two ultrasound tests that showed nothing yet I still can feel a small lump on the top of my right testicle

Hi. I went to my gp so they sent me for a scan and they couldn't see anything. They could feel it but not see anything on the monitors so I dont know what to do. Iam thinking about going for a private scan instead. Looks like we have the exact same problem.

  • Hi mate, did you get any conclusion to what is happening? I'm in the same boat atm

  • Did you Archie? I'm in the same boat now!

  • Hey man sorry I didn't reply, for me, it's still there, hasn't gone and I still haven't gone to the GP lol - bad I know. I'll wait till after Christmas, despite knowing the likelihood is that it's nothing serious, I don't want to go before Christmas just in case. Did you sort anything? Let me know mate x
