Secondary endometrial cancer and taxol/carbo

Hello there all - firstly has anyone had taxol/carbo and how did you do with it - and secondly does anyone have secondary endometrial cancer?

  • Hello joulesforeveryoung,

Welcome to our forum. We have information on our website on this chemotherapy combination on this page.

  • I'm sorry to hear about your mum-how is she coping with it? And how do you feel about it? Has she had the cancer for long?

    sending love and hugs x

  • Hello Joulesforeveryoung

    im so happy you responded

how are you doing. How is your treatment going?  Did the chemo zap up all the nasty cells?  My mums recurrence is in her pelvic lymph nodes and para ortic lymph nodes?

are you receiving any ongoing treatment?

look forward to hearing from you

Lots of love and best wishes xxx ️ ️

  • Hi there, sorry but couldn't see a name)

the chemo zapped about half of the nasty cells - finished on the last day of 2019, spent the first half of last year recovering from it - have just learnt that will probably need to go through another round soon as has grown a lot in the lining of my stomach and they want to try and reduce it before it causes major problems with my bowels! Have just had radiotherapy on my sternum as had developed intense pain over previous few months (first 'pain' as such that I have had from the cancer).
I hope your mums recurrence stays minimal for the time being - I lived how I felt, which, up until last year, was healthy.
I have lived with this for just over 10 years now, hope I can keep it at bay for many more xx

  • Hello Joules

im so so pleased that you feel well and healthy and long may that continue Xx

i hope you next round of chemo is as successful as the last round.   I'm sure it will and it's sounds like you have a positive mindset which makes all the difference .

Just notiiced I haven't answered your question above ..mum originally had endometrial cancer about 3 years ago and had a hysterectomy. They thought they got it all out but it recurred towards end of last year in her pelvic lymph nodes and para ortic lymph nodes.  She's receiving chemo for it and has finished 6 cycles.

are you receiving immunotherapy? Mums on a trial of Atezolizumab which is supposed to be effective.

happy to share details with you

lots of love Joules and keep healthy and stay the way you are . ️ ️ ️ ️
