SCC SPREAD

Hi my dad is currently having treatment for squamous cell cancer, he has had 4 removed and just had a biopsy on one on his nose. He is using the cream whilst he waits for appointment. He has 2 others that he needs removing also.

10 days ago he noticed a lump in his groin, doctor originally diagnosed hernia however after an ultrasound they said it was an enlarged lymph node, they said he needed urgent bloods & a CT scan. He has had the bloods done and everything come back normal. Still waiting for the CT.

my questions are

1. Would the bloods come back if the cancer had spread?
2. has anyone any experience to share of SCC spreading and what the treatment plans and options are?
3. the doctors don't seem to be in a rush at all, his next removal app isn't until June...is this normal? I know SCC spreading rare but surely it being left until June increases the chances of it spreading?

im just looking for some support, it's scary to think that this has spread. The man that did the ultrasound was so assertive in saying the tests needed to be urgent, but 1 Week after that still no CT scan. I'm really scared for my dad
