About CancerIn sep my oncologist requested a ct scan scan as i was having tummy pain and bowel changes.i seen my oncologist recently who said I have mild divertuclar disease.Also said I have cyst on overy.not told me what kind of cyst. It has been there since July.as I had ultrasound then and no one me 1 had one. Oncologist said they will have mdt meeting about the cyst. If it was anything bad would it show on scan? And should it still be there after 2 months

It's reassuring that these bowel changes were due to mild diverticular disease. I can imagine it is a really stressful time for you right now as you are waiting to be told what kind of cyst you have on your ovary. Try not to anticipate the worst though as there are so many other things it could be and there are countless benign ovarian cysts it could be so fingers crossed this cyst is nothing of concern and can be easily treated. The CT scan will have hopefully flagged what it is and after that MDT meeting you will have a clearer picture of what you are dealing with.
I hope you won't need to wait too long for answers and there are helpful tips on this page to help you cope while waiting for news. Hopefully others who have been in a similar situation before will be along shortly to share their experience with you.

Hi l had a colonoscopy for left sided pain, bowel changes, that showed bilateral complex ovarian cysts 6cm and 4cm after seeing the oncology gynaecology surgeon and having mri, and ultrasounds. I had them removed they were fortunately both benign.
l hope you have a similar outcome.
