I just watched call the midwife and think wish we hadn't .story line about the elderly lady bit too close for comfort .

We thought exactly the same. Wasn't exactly the light entertainment we hoped for. I notice it everywhere now though.

Yes it's strange always seem notice more on TV now .but I try remember this was set 50 odd years ago and treatment has moved on so much

Yes I was looking forward to the new series of Call the midwife as well but found it rather upsetting. I lost my husband to lung cancer in 2016 after a 6 month battle. I only wish that his death had been as peaceful as the lady on there. At least there was a lovely nurse there giving comfort to the patient and family, way back in 1963 things were very different.

I know, I did and ended up crying! !It's nice that nurses stayed with the patient and I was fifteen in 1963, it was a hard winter, but you still had to get to where you were meant to be, snow was not an excuse!!  Never mind at least we can relate to the drama!,
