Hi All,

New Driving & Drug Testing from 21 October 2019

Not scaremongering at all and hopefully not effect anyone but my work issued advice about new drug testing in Scotland from Monday 21 October. (unsure of rest of UK).

I think the one that caught my eye was morphine as there were occasions where I drove with medication thinking I was ok and lucid as just a painkiller, but I think I would be more wary now of driving while on morphine medication.( not that I need anymore)

Am no medical/legal expert and have no idea what dose you would have to take before any legal concerns. Just thought I would post as a matter of interest and just to put out there re driving while on medication. As I said, hopefully wont effect anyone.

Some lattitude if prescription but not if judged impaired driving or prescription states you should not be driving.

Didnt realise start of thread was a over a year ago and how time flies. I think will soon be my anniverisary of treatment stopping in November. Think was just starting radiotherapy about this time last year.

Distance memory now and funny how all the naff times fade away and are replaced by postive healthy thoughts.

Just to warn you been some annoucment re a proposed Brexit deal so just in case your not allowed home lol !

True its been very quiet TFS I  hope everyone is well and still progressing, Im fine apart from the persistent  build up of gunge at the back of the throat but cant complain at all really.

How time flies, this time last year I was having scans and the biopsy.

Awww Graeme are you missing us lol !!

I thought was quite a good think giving you all a break from my rants and also having us all decode Hazel's posts into real sentances.

All good here and I'm feeling fabby.. Lost good healthly weight and feeling ( and looking ) out of this world.

At health club about 3/4 times a week exercise and jacuzzi etc and no issues with food etc although Im on health kick with all meals and plenty fruit.
Still drink a lot of water and think part of new normal and here to stay but small price to pay,
Still a little niggle with my gums and trying to get bottom of and even have another PET scan next Thursday but consualtant says just lets have a look but dont expect to see anything.
Have dental consultant Jan so between them should sort out this minor niggle.

Back at work and taking bad with snowflakes and sensistive wee souls nowadays and about time I was retiring but that apart mojo and brain back working.

I think my anniversary of a year ago when treatment stopped is in a few weeks and distant memory of what we went through. So many positive stories on this thread and I'm so pleased for everyone and it was like a little club and community spirit when we all tried to help each other at our various stages.

Booked my beloved Tenerife for next year so hope to come and visit you and aim to start twice a year again therafter as love Las Americas.

But nice touch Graeme and thank you for asking on thread and like yourself I hope everyone is contunuing to live normal healthy happy lives.

Hopefully others will pop in to update and I'm sure Hazel defo will update with something for us to decode.

Onwards & Upwards

Ian
