Hi, please could I ask about post op recovery times.

27 years ago I had calcification in my left breast and had these removed followed by radiotherapy.No problems since but in my latest mammogram they picked up something which is DCIS, low  grade and small. I am seeing the surgeon on Friday so will have to consider my options. 
I think they will suggest a mastectomy as it has returned and it would appear from research that reconstruction is not possible on a previously radiated breast.

I am not good with illness and resting so will want to get back to normal ASAP but what should I expect . My partner and I walk a lot . Will I be able to walk soon after surgery?. I know I will have to be sensible with hoovering etc and I know I will get support and help but can anyone give me any answers based on your own experiences.
