This week had to go to have a picc line inserted in preparation for the latest 8 cycles of chemo. After several attempts she gave up as she said she could not pierce the vein. I am now having to wait till the 9th for a line to be put into my chest. Not looking forward to that. Yesterday went for a ct but they too could not get a cannula in my arm, so had ct without contrast. Rather worried as to why they couldn't achieve these as I've had them before.
Supposed to be starting chemo on the 31st of this month, but I don't see how now, until the line is put into my chest. More delays. Still waiting to hear about top up for avastin. I haven't had any treatment since January. I know I asked for the stoma reversal, which was carried out in July.
So scared scans going to show everything is worse.
Finally saw oncologist 're the breast cancer and he agreed with me about stopping the anastrazole due to the terrible joint pains and has put me on tamoxifen. So we'll see. On a plus point I'm in remission for the breast cancer. Just wish I could have some good news 're the bowel cancer in my lungs.
