  • Hi Tracy, I was diagnosed with a t1 n0 1cm sqamous cell carcinoma on 17th July. I had it removed on 8th August by laser. I was home the same day. Iwas on codene and paracetamol for a week. Eating during the first 10 days is difficult but I just had yogurts, jellys, cottage pie etc.  The op was ok as it was general anesthetic and everyone involved was very kind. I didn't have any lymph nodes removed but that could still happen if there are any further developements. They keep a very close eye on you for the next 2 years. [@MichaelD6]‍ had more extensive surgery than me but his advice helped me a lot and I still read his encouraging post now. If you need to ask me more, please do. Let me know how you are getting on. Elen xx

  • Thank you Ellen I'm waiting to get 6 teeth removed and then get a peg fitted. I can't have surgery because of the size and am going to be doing 6 weeks, 30 sessions of radiotherapy x I'm very scared x

  • Check out Hazel aka RadioactiveRaz she has a blog detailing her treatment.l hope all goes well for you and our wonderful nhs will look after you. I think all of us are very sacred and that is normal but you will find lots of help and advice here. I wish you the very best of luck. Elen. X

  • How do I go into her account , I hadn't a clue but would like to read it xx
