Hello Troubled, having read your post I felt I needed to reply as I find myself in a similar situation. My husband who is 52 was diagnosed with lung cancer yesterday. His to is inoperable and he has been told he can have chemotherapy to keep him as well as he is for as long as possible. Like  you I feel completely helpless . My husband is trying to remain positive and wants me and our children to be positive too  - easier said than done. But we are trying our best to deal with the hand we have been dealt. I am unable to offer any practical help or any advice on what the future might bring as this is all an unknown for me.
